Trip to Milano and Torino
Paralympic winter games 2006

This trip was organized by the spanish girls. Cristina's boyfrind is a guide of a young boy how is half blind (John) how plays in the national team. So she organized a trip to go to support them. By the way, we could visit Milano on saturday. The team was this time: Paula, Cristina, María, Tati, Pablo, Carles and me in a Renault Scenic xD

As you can see in the pictures everybody is still sleeping (even after 2h of driving)

If it was at night this could be a classical improvised 'botellon' in Milan, but it was around 14h so we where having lunch xD

Yes.. it was winter.. but who cares? Italian icecreams are great at any time.

Here dinning in Torino... pizzas? yes! magnific! and just for 5 euros (not like french prices)

Next day (sunday) we went to the paralympic games.

This is the view of the slope that they should descent, not very easy beleave me.

Who were the best supporters? the spanish team. We improvised a quick botellon and nobody was cold.

John in the middle of the picture, he injured himself 2 months before the paralympic games. After the operation he start the rehabilitation the same day. He arrived to Torino without any option even to play. But this guy is great and his force was enaugh to decide to try it. So finally he did 6th. For him and for us was like winning xD John, we love you! continue like this and rich everything that you purpose.

A spanish tandem (from Catalunya) won a silver metal


It was my first time in a even like this. I recoment to everybody to try it. In the paralympic games everybody wins and the atmosphera was amazing. All supporters from each team were cheering up and encouraging all players, no fights, no swears, only good mood. Chapeau!
Also, see people totaly blind skiing fast thru the slope.. amazing.

End of February

Miquel-night is happy after learning how to prepare a Paella.
After this one, now is the king of his house preparing it,
with it's own style (la picada indispensable, recuerdalo!) :D
